Die Grammy-Nominierten im Genre Country

Am 10. Februar 2008 verleiht The Recording Academy zum 50sten mal die wichtigiste Auszeichnung für Musikschaffende - den Grammy.

Tim McGraw und Dierks Bentley bekamen vier Grammy-Nominierungen, während Brad Paisley drei Nominierungen bekam.

Einige Country-Künstler wurden auch in Kategorien außerhalb des Country-Genres nominiert. Vince Gill für das "Album of the Year", Carrie Underwoods "Before He Cheats" als "Song of the Year". Taylor Swift ist als Newcomerin nominiert. Swift muss sich gegen Amy Winehouse, die insgesamt sechs Nominierungen bekam, Feist, Paramour und Ledisi durchsetzen.

Robert Plant und Alison Krauss bekamen eine Nominierung in der Kategorie für "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals" für "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)", aus dem Album "Raising Sand".  

Lucinda Williams wurde nominiert als "Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance" für "Come On" aus dem Album "West". Für den gleichen Song wurde sie auch in der Kategorie "Best Rock Song".
