Barbara Mandrell wird heute, am 23. August 2005, mit dem American Legion Auxiliarys Lifetime Achievement Award geehrt. Die Auszeichnung wird im Rahmen der Convention der American Legion Auxiliary auf Honolulu, Hawaii,- und in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal verliehen.
Laut American Legion Auxiliary: "She's always had a place for God and country in all that she does and has always been a firm supporter of our men and women in uniform."
