Drei der führenden MuzikMafia Mitglieder,
Big & Rich,
Gretchen Wilson und Cowboy Troy, werden am 4. Juli (den Unabhängigkeitstag der USA) zusammen mit den Boston Pops den Song "Our America" während des Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular aufführen.
Der Song enthält unter anderem Elemente von "The Star-Spangled Banner" (Die Nationalhmyne der USA), der Einführung zur Verfassung, Martin Luther Kings "I Have a Dream" Rede, den Schwur of Allegiance und der Unahbhängigkeitserklärung. Die Texte (gesprochen) im Einzelnen:
Wilson: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union
Cowboy Troy: I have a dream, a dream that one day
Rich: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, And they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights,
Big Kenny: That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness
B&R/GW: Oh say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Cowboy Troy: I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America
B&R/GW: Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
Cowboy Troy: And to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God
B&R/GW: And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
Cowboy Troy: Indivisible
B&R/GW: O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
Cowboy Troy: With liberty and justice for all
B&R/GW: O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Wer das Lied auf einem Silberling haben möchte, muss sich bis zu den Veröffentlichungen des neuen
Gretchen Wilson Album "All Jacked Up" (27. September) oder des neuen Albums von
Big & Rich am 8. November 2005 gedulden, denn darauf wird eine Studioversion als Bonustrack enthalten sein.
